Lone Star Labrador Retriever Rescue (Lone Star Lab Rescue) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, all volunteer organization, dedicated to saving purebred Labrador Retrievers from euthanasia in city shelters throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
When possible, Lone Star Labrador Retriever Rescue will assist Good Samaritans who have found stray Labradors. We will also try to assist owners who feel they must find a new home for their Labrador. Please understand that our primary focus is on saving purebred Labradors in area shelters who are in danger of being euthanized. We are rarely able to provide a foster home for a Lab surrendered by its owner.
Quick Facts About Lone Star Labrador RescueLone Star Labrador Retriever Rescue is also committed to educating the public about responsible dog ownership. We believe that responsible pet owners spay or neuter their animals, keep them on an annual vaccination program, provide heart worm and flea preventative on a year round basis, provide basic training, and maintain their dogs as “inside” members of the family rather than as “outside” yard dogs.
All of our members and volunteers have one thing in common: They all love Labs! If you would like to volunteer to help save endangered Labs, please please e-mail us at info@lonestarlabrescue.org or call our voicemail at (214)855-1515. This is a voicemail that is checked on a daily basis, but it not answered by a person.
Please understand that we are all volunteers with families, jobs and dogs. It may take several days for your call to be returned. We prefer to work by email when at all possible.
